Concert

After moving the audience in Rio de Janeiro, the Chiquinha Gonzaga Youth Symphony Orchestra — composed exclusively of young musicians between the ages of 13 and 21 — arrives in São Paulo for the concert Explode Coração, a grand tribute to the works of Gonzaguinha, at Teatro Santander. With a special appearance by actor and singer Alexandre Nero and conducted by maestro Vilane Trindade, the performance combines the talent of the young musicians with Nero’s charisma and powerful vocal interpretation, creating a touching encounter of generations, voices, and artistic expressions. The Chiquinha Gonzaga Youth Symphony Orchestra, as well as this concert, is sponsored by Petrogal Brasil, a Galp/Sinopec Joint Venture, and Zurich Santander, both through the Federal Cultural Incentive Law.

Nationally acclaimed for his versatility as both an actor and musician, Alexandre Nero joins the orchestra to perform some of Gonzaguinha’s most iconic songs. With his strong stage and vocal presence, the artist enhances the dramatic power of the concert.
The concert’s repertoire will be entirely dedicated to Gonzaguinha’s work, in symphonic arrangements designed to move the audience. The selection highlights both the lyrical and combative spirit of his songs, revealing the contemporary relevance of his work through the perspective of a talented and engaged young female orchestra. The musical direction presents a sensitive and vigorous interpretation of the compositions, in a night where popular music meets symphonic performance to stir the audience’s emotions.
