Alegria Alegria – 2017
In 2017 Tropicália celebrated 50 years! To celebrate the story of this movement that revolutionized Popular Music and Brazilian Culture, with its singularities and its importance, Alegria Alegria premiered in May, in São Paulo. With direction and script by Moacyr Góes, it had a cast of 15 actors and was starred by singer Zélia Duncan, who got the role of conductor of the show.
Singing in the Rain – 2017
In 2017 came the Brazilian adaptation of the musical Singing in the Rain, with Jarbas Homem de Mello and the incredible Claudia Raia (in the roles of Gene Kelly and Jean Hagen from the 1952 film).
The story takes place in 1920s Hollywood, during the transition from silent films to talkies.

Burt Bacharach is a composer who needs no introduction. At 89 years old and still active, he continues collecting rewards from a career full of successes and songs that have gone on forever, such as I Say a Little Prayer and I'll Never Fall In Love Again.
These two hits are part of the repertoire of If my apartment could talk… (Promises, Promises in the 1968 original), his first and only foray into Musical Theater.
The Clown and the Ballerina – 2018
A playful and circus universe came to life to tell the fun and romantic story of the dreamy ballerina Anabel and the courageous and romantic Clown, played by Kiara Sasso and Lázaro Menezes.
The couple, who also signed creative functions for the show, such as conception and text, lyrics and music, direction and scenography, returned to São Paulo with the musical success, The Clown and Ballerina, the first production of O Alto Mar Productions, for a short holiday season.
The Little Mermaid – 2018
The Little Mermaid, a Broadway superproduction inspired by the Disney film, had its first production in Brazil. Tiago Abravanel and Fabi Bang led a large cast, which had a season at Teatro Santander.
Based on the classic Hans Christian Andersen story, The Little Mermaid had as its protagonist Ariel, who lives at the bottom of the sea, but wants to be part of the human world.

With Ingrid Guimarães and Miguel Falabella, Annie, the Musical brought a story based on the comic book Annie, the Little Orphan, recounting the adventures of the 11-year-old girl who lives in an orphanage run by the fun Mrs. Hannigan

Inspired by a passage from the masterpiece War and Peace, by Leo Tolstoy, Natasha, "Pierre and the Great Comet" of 1812, was revolutionary and driven by the desire to break with the paradigms of traditional musical theater through a plot permeated by love, forgiveness and redemption, which combines the classic with an air of modernity.
Sunset Boulevard – 2019
Glamour, power and greed in the musical that made history on Broadway. That was Sunset Boulevard, a super production that marked the return to the stage of one of the most beloved duos in Brazilian theater: Marisa Orth and Daniel Boaventura. They starred in the seven Tony Award-winning show with music by Andrew Lloyd Weber. The artistic direction of the Brazilian montage was by Fred Hanson.

Based on the 2003 film School of Rock, written by Mike White and starring Jack Black, the show tells the story of Dewey Finn, a singer and guitarist, who still wants to become a rock star. After identifying musical talent in his students by pretending to be a teacher, Dewey forms a fifth grade group in an attempt to win the next contest: the Battle of the Bands.

The cultural industry is gradually resuming its activities and Teatro Santander has reopened its doors.
Committed to promoting a good experience with the return of cultural activities, paralyzed since the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020, the theater brought together in São Paulo, between November 6th and December 20th, a mix of attractions from various manifestations artistic performances at the Open Curtains Festival.

Presented by the Ministry of Citizenship and Zurich Santander Seguros, Donna Summer, the Musical, premiered on Broadway in March 2018, with huge public and critical success, finally arrives in Brazil in a major production at Teatro Santander, with actresses as protagonists Jenier Nascimento, who plays the diva at the top of her career – Disco Donna – and Karin Hils, as Diva Donna.

Silvio Santos is coming! is back to 033 Rooftop (Teatro Santander's Rooftop). The show takes a look at the life of TV host and businessman Senor Abravanel (played by actor Velson D'Souza) from his childhood, when he was a street vendor in Rio de Janeiro, until the 90s, right after the consolidation of SBT.
With iconic characters such as Gugu Liberato, Hebe, Elke Maravilha, Wagner Montes, Bozo, Pedro de Lara, among others, the show promises to delight all generations!

The musical tells the story of Benjamin Barker, a barber who was forced to leave London because of a fight with the cruel Judge Turpin (Guilherme Sant'Anna). After 15 years away from the city he returns under the alias Sweeney Todd (Rodrigo Lombardi) thirsting for revenge. When he arrives at his old barbershop on Fleet Street, Todd finds a ruined pie shop run by Miss Lovett (Andrezza Massei).

A Christmas Carol – 2022
The text tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly man who abhors Christmas. One Christmas Eve, Scrooge receives a visit from his former partner Jacob Marley, who died seven years ago on that same day. Marley says that his spirit cannot rest in peace, as he was neither good nor generous in life, but that Scrooge has a chance, and that three spirits will visit him.
Ney Matogrosso - Homem com H - 2022
The musical explores pivotal moments and iconic songs from the singer's career without necessarily following a chronological order. The story begins at a Secos & Molhados concert during the military dictatorship, when someone in the audience insults him by calling him a “faggot.” This scene blends with moments from the artist's childhood and teenage years. In this way, other episodes unfold on stage.To tell this story, Marilia Toledo and Emilio Boechat delved into the three biographies already published about Ney Matogrosso, as well as journalistic articles, videos, and insights from the artist himself. “With Ney’s input, we tried to stay true to the most important events of his personal and professional life, while embracing the playful freedom that theater demands,” reveals the director.

To match João Carlos Martins' proposal to deliver a unique experience to the audience, the repertoire of this concert brought together songs by J. Williams, such as the themes of Superman Returns and Indiana Jones. However, the highlight was the soundtrack of the saga that has become a popular culture phenomenon and still holds that position: Star Wars.
Rita Lee Tribute – 2023
The performance was led by 45 musicians from the Orquestra Sinfônica Juvenil Chiquinha Gonzaga (Chiquinha Gonzaga Youth Symphony Orchestra) - formed by girls from public schools, between ages of 10 and 20. Special mention goes to the guest appearance of Mel Lisboa, who sang some hits of the late Brazilian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and author from São Paulo, Rita Lee, in the second part of the concert.

IRON - The Man in the Iron Mask – 2023
Forgotten in a cell in the Bastille, there is a prisoner who could change the history of France. His physical resemblance to King Louis XIV is striking. But very few know of this, for his face is covered by a horrifying iron mask. Meanwhile, what does the King of France do? He governs the country with neglect and arrogance, more interested in his mistresses and personal pleasures.

A fun musical comedy that brings together hits from some of the greatest Broadway musicals such as: West Side Story, Cabaret, Chicago, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Les Misérables, etc. The play tells the story of two artists at different points in their careers: Bella Bianchi (Fabi Bang) is an extremely self-centered actress who hires an American agent and travels to New York with the goal of auditioning for a musical. Meanwhile, Jota Camargo (Rodrigo Negrini) is a Brazilian actor who moved to the United States five years earlier dreaming of an international career.

The concert is opened by tenor Jean William, who performs an “a cappella” Gregorian Chant. We also feature soprano Karen Stephanie, who interprets the globally renowned prayer Ave Maria and the piece Hallelujah. The program continues with popular Christmas themes, starting with Happy Xmas. The finale is an instrumental version of Silent Night, performed with João Carlos Martins on the piano. Additionally, the concert includes the music Somewhere in Time by John Barry, the composer for the James Bond franchise films. This piece was specially composed for the 1980 movie directed by Jeannot Szwarc and starring Christopher Reeve, Jane Seymour, and Christopher Plummer.

It tells the story of Vivian Ward, a Hollywood prostitute, who is hired by Edward Lewis, a successful businessman, to be his companion for a week. What was supposed to be just a business arrangement turns into an unexpected love story. The movie that inspired the show was released in 1990, starring Richard Gere and then newcomer Julia Roberts, who received the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical, becoming one of the world's greatest artists due to the film's success.

Companhia Cisne Negro presents the 40th edition of the ballet “The Nutcracker”, featuring a special performance by Ana Botafogo. The orchestra will perform the most popular pieces from The Nutcracker suite, composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky for ballet, including the composer's biggest hit, the Waltz of the Flowers, the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, and the Russian Dance.

Conductor João Carlos Martins and the Bachiana Philharmonic SESI-SP will give a true lesson on the subject in the special concert The History of Dance. J. S. One dance in which the notes flow freely, gliding smoothly is the Courante, which continues the concert.

Sally Bowles, an English singer, is one of the main attractions of the night, introduced by the witty and sharp Master of Ceremonies. The world would never be the same, nor would Sally's life after meeting the American writer Clifford Bradshaw and experiencing a whirlwind romance.

The story begins in 1922, when Tarsila returns to São Paulo after her experience at the School of Arts in Paris. The encounter with the modernists, including figures like Anita Malfatti, Oswald de Andrade, and Mário de Andrade, triggers a saga that spans the artistic effervescence between São Paulo and Paris. The audience was taken into a world of exuberance, passing through Tarsila's bustling atelier frequented by great names of the time, such as Pablo Picasso and Jean Cocteau, leading up to the creation of the iconic Abaporu. The second part of the story unfolds during the 1929 Crisis, revealing Tarsila's personal challenges, her phase of “social” paintings depicting Brazilian workers, and her involvement with the journalist from Rio de Janeiro, Luís Martins.

In the context of court music, the preferred dance in the salons was the minuet, with small steps, great lightness, and graceful evolutions. The Bachiana performs one of the most well-known minuets, by the Italian composer Rodolfo Luigi Boccherini (1743-1805). In telling the history of music, the Viennese waltz could not be left out, the queen of ballroom dances, and its main composer, Johann Strauss II, known as “The Waltz King” and largely responsible for the waltz's popularity in Vienna during the 19th century, here represented by the waltz “Artist's Life.” Also included is The Nutcracker, one of the most famous compositions by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

The 80th birthday of Chico Buarque, one of the greatest composers of Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), arrived with the presentation of the show 'Chiquinha Plays Chico,' featuring singer Mônica Salmaso and conducted by Priscila Bomfim. On stage, 46 girls from the Chiquinha Gonzaga Youth Symphony Orchestra performed some of the artist's greatest classics, such as 'Construção,' 'O Meu Guri,' 'Roda Viva,' 'O Que Será Que Será,' 'Anos Dourados,' among others.

In June 2024, the Deborah Colker Dance Company performed for the first time at Teatro Santander to celebrate its thirtieth anniversary and present the premiere of the show “Sagração.” In the version directed by Deborah Colker, Stravinsky's classical music meets Brazilian rhythms in a script inspired by ancestral visions of the origin of the world. The show is a free adaptation of “The Rite of Spring,” composed by Russian Igor Stravinsky, which gained worldwide recognition with its premiere in Paris in 1913, choreographed by Vaslav Nijinsky and produced by Sergei Diaghilev for the Ballets Russes. The musical composition is considered revolutionary for introducing rhythmic and harmonic structures never before used in cores.

The show is a true celebration of one of Brazil's most important genres, frevo... the musical CAPIBA, pelas ruas eu vou. The musical presents the journey of a boy born in Surubim, in the Agreste region of Pernambuco, on October 28, 1904. Son of a bandmaster, Capiba could read sheet music even before he learned to read. He lived in Paraíba and at the age of 26 moved to Recife, where he worked as an employee at Banco do Brasil and attended the Recife Law School, all while never abandoning music.

William Shakespeare (portrayed by Rodrigo Simas), after experiencing a creative block, finds his muse in the aristocrat Viola de Lesseps (portrayed in this production by Carla Salle). Lady Viola, being engaged and unable to pursue a career as an actress (at the time, women were not allowed to act), dresses in male attire to participate in rehearsals alongside Shakespeare. The trio is completed by the renowned actress Ana Lúcia Torre, who played Queen Elizabeth I.
The arena format of 033 Rooftop allowed for an intimate experience with the actors, who used the entire space as their stage, complemented by an exclusive menu inspired by English cuisine. The production in Brazil is licensed by Disney Theatrical Group.

The orchestra performs, in sequence, three of the most popular pieces from the suite “The Nutcracker”, composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) for ballet: The Sugar Plum Fairy, the composer's biggest hit, and The Waltz of the Flowers. And, since Christmas is above all a celebration of togetherness, you can - and should - sing along with the orchestra to timeless Christmas classics like “White Christmas” and “Jingle Bells”, among others. Naturally, “Silent Night” could not be left out, the melody most closely associated with the holiday since Christmas of 1816 at St. Nicholas Church in the small Austrian village of Oberndorf: Father Joseph Mohr found in Franz Gruber (1787-1863) the perfect collaborator.

Committed to promoting a good experience with the return of cultural activities, paralyzed since the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020, the theater brought together in São Paulo, between November 6th and December 20th, a mix of attractions from various manifestations artistic performances at the Open Curtains Festival.
Monica's Gang – 2020
In the show, Mônica, Jimmy Five, Smudge, Maggy and Chuck Billy rescue the famous songs from the Limoeiro neighborhood's group in a production by Mauricio de Sousa LIVE, which thrills and delights the whole family with messages of love, friendship and respect. With special effects and a lot of interaction with a LED panel, Turma da Mônica – O Show is packed with famous songs from the group, with new arrangements, and provides funny, dynamic, playful and interactive entertainement. The show was created and directed by Mauro Sousa.
The Sound and the Syllable – 2021
The Sound and the Syllable deals with the relationship between Sarah Leighton (Alessandra Maestrini) and Leonor Delise (Mirna Rubim), two different women.
The first, young and struggling to fit into society, but completely unique, due to the diagnosis of Asperger Syndrome. The second, an international opera diva over 50 years old who, by chance in life, became a singing teacher. Direct, elegant, refined and apparently well resolved. Apparently.
Donna Summer – 2021
Presented by the Ministry of Citizenship and Zurich Santander Seguros, Donna Summer, the Musical, premiered on Broadway in March 2018, with huge public and critical success, finally arrives in Brazil in a major production at Teatro Santander, with actresses as protagonists Jenier Nascimento, who plays the diva at the top of her career – Disco Donna – and Karin Hils, as Diva Donna.
Silvio Santos is coming! – 2021
Silvio Santos is coming! is back to 033 Rooftop (Teatro Santander's Rooftop). The show takes a look at the life of TV host and businessman Senor Abravanel (played by actor Velson D'Souza) from his childhood, when he was a street vendor in Rio de Janeiro, until the 90s, right after the consolidation of SBT.
With iconic characters such as Gugu Liberato, Hebe, Elke Maravilha, Wagner Montes, Bozo, Pedro de Lara, among others, the show promises to delight all generations!
Chicago: The Musical – 2022
Chicago brings an acidic and humorous critique of show business, bringing up the theme of instant celebrities, famous criminals and lies, in 1920s Chicago. A universal tale, that brings a timeless and up-to-date discussion, for everyone and every generation, with lots of jazz and remarkable choreography.
Sweeney Todd – 2022
The musical tells the story of Benjamin Barker, a barber who was forced to leave London because of a fight with the cruel Judge Turpin (Guilherme Sant'Anna). After 15 years away from the city he returns under the alias Sweeney Todd (Rodrigo Lombardi) thirsting for revenge. When he arrives at his old barbershop on Fleet Street, Todd finds a ruined pie shop run by Miss Lovett (Andrezza Massei).
The Little Mermaid – 2022
After the success of its previous seasons in Teatro Santander, The Little Mermaid returned in 2022, with a Broadway superproduction inspired by the Disney film, being its second production in Brazil. Fabi Bang and Andrezza Massei led the great cast, which had another season at Teatro Santander. Based on the classic Hans Christian Andersen story, The Little Mermaid had as its protagonist Ariel, who lives at the bottom of the sea, but wants to be part of the human world.

Career rarely makes their paths cross. So it is necessary to create moments that combine the passion for showbiz, for the songs from musicals and for, simply, being together and reconnecting with the audience that has a passion for them. It's a show about performing a show.
A Christmas Carol – 2022
The text tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly man who abhors Christmas. One Christmas Eve, Scrooge receives a visit from his former partner Jacob Marley, who died seven years ago on that same day. Marley says that his spirit cannot rest in peace, as he was neither good nor generous in life, but that Scrooge has a chance, and that three spirits will visit him.
Ney Matogrosso - Homem com H - 2022
The musical explores pivotal moments and iconic songs from the singer's career without necessarily following a chronological order. The story begins at a Secos & Molhados concert during the military dictatorship, when someone in the audience insults him by calling him a “faggot.” This scene blends with moments from the artist's childhood and teenage years. In this way, other episodes unfold on stage.To tell this story, Marilia Toledo and Emilio Boechat delved into the three biographies already published about Ney Matogrosso, as well as journalistic articles, videos, and insights from the artist himself. “With Ney’s input, we tried to stay true to the most important events of his personal and professional life, while embracing the playful freedom that theater demands,” reveals the director.
Hensel and Gretel – 2023
João and Maria (Brazilian names to Hansel and Gretel) live with their father Clóvis, a broom salesman, and with their stepmother Célia, who is vain and disingenuous. She does everything to get rid of the stepchildren she pretends to adore and, one dark night, she abandons the children in the forest.
Bonnie & Clyde – 2023
The most famous criminal love story of all time, lived by the couple who became known for terrorizing the USA in the 1930s, won a Brazilian stage with the unprecedented production of “Bonnie & Clyde” at 033 Rooftop.
Star Wars – 2023
To match João Carlos Martins' proposal to deliver a unique experience to the audience, the repertoire of this concert brought together songs by J. Williams, such as the themes of Superman Returns and Indiana Jones. However, the highlight was the soundtrack of the saga that has become a popular culture phenomenon and still holds that position: Star Wars.
Rita Lee Tribute – 2023
The performance was led by 45 musicians from the Orquestra Sinfônica Juvenil Chiquinha Gonzaga (Chiquinha Gonzaga Youth Symphony Orchestra) - formed by girls from public schools, between ages of 10 and 20. Special mention goes to the guest appearance of Mel Lisboa, who sang some hits of the late Brazilian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and author from São Paulo, Rita Lee, in the second part of the concert.
Wicked – 2023
WICKED, the greatest Brodway hit written in the 21st century, is the untold story of the witches of Oz, referencing the 1939 classic film. Long before Dorothy was swept away by a tornado into the Emerald World, Elphaba and Glinda lived one of the finest tales in musical theater. And now, immortalized in 2023 at the Teatro Santander as a box office record.
Star Wars - Suite for Orchestra – 2023
João Carlos Martins delighted the audience with the performance of the Star Wars - Suite for Orchestra, composed by John Williams for the saga, including all the film's songs, such as the opening, the Sith March, and the themes of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Han Solo.
IRON - The Man in the Iron Mask – 2023
Forgotten in a cell in the Bastille, there is a prisoner who could change the history of France. His physical resemblance to King Louis XIV is striking. But very few know of this, for his face is covered by a horrifying iron mask. Meanwhile, what does the King of France do? He governs the country with neglect and arrogance, more interested in his mistresses and personal pleasures.
A Night on Broadway – 2023
A fun musical comedy that brings together hits from some of the greatest Broadway musicals such as: West Side Story, Cabaret, Chicago, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Les Misérables, etc. The play tells the story of two artists at different points in their careers: Bella Bianchi (Fabi Bang) is an extremely self-centered actress who hires an American agent and travels to New York with the goal of auditioning for a musical. Meanwhile, Jota Camargo (Rodrigo Negrini) is a Brazilian actor who moved to the United States five years earlier dreaming of an international career.
João Carlos Martins – The Nutcracker - 2023
The concert is opened by tenor Jean William, who performs an “a cappella” Gregorian Chant. We also feature soprano Karen Stephanie, who interprets the globally renowned prayer Ave Maria and the piece Hallelujah. The program continues with popular Christmas themes, starting with Happy Xmas. The finale is an instrumental version of Silent Night, performed with João Carlos Martins on the piano. Additionally, the concert includes the music Somewhere in Time by John Barry, the composer for the James Bond franchise films. This piece was specially composed for the 1980 movie directed by Jeannot Szwarc and starring Christopher Reeve, Jane Seymour, and Christopher Plummer.
Pretty Woman - 2023
It tells the story of Vivian Ward, a Hollywood prostitute, who is hired by Edward Lewis, a successful businessman, to be his companion for a week. What was supposed to be just a business arrangement turns into an unexpected love story. The movie that inspired the show was released in 1990, starring Richard Gere and then newcomer Julia Roberts, who received the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical, becoming one of the world's greatest artists due to the film's success.
The Nutcracker - 2023
Companhia Cisne Negro presents the 40th edition of the ballet “The Nutcracker”, featuring a special performance by Ana Botafogo. The orchestra will perform the most popular pieces from The Nutcracker suite, composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky for ballet, including the composer's biggest hit, the Waltz of the Flowers, the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, and the Russian Dance.
João Carlos Martins 2024 Season - 2024
Dance has always played a crucial role in classical music and at the festivities of European courts. Conductor João Carlos Martins and the Bachiana Philharmonic SESI-SP will give a true lesson on the subject in the special concert The History of Dance. J. S. Bach created many dances that are true masterpieces and examples of the strong presence of rhythm in his compositions. One dance in which the notes flow freely, gliding smoothly is the Courante, which continues the concert.
Cabaret - 2024
We are in Berlin on New Year's Eve. While Germany witnesses a political movement with extremist interests, the Kit Kat Club is the place to escape the tension, relax, and have fun. Sally Bowles, an English singer, is one of the main attractions of the night, introduced by the witty and sharp Master of Ceremonies. The world would never be the same, nor would Sally's life after meeting the American writer Clifford Bradshaw and experiencing a whirlwind romance.
Tarsila, a Brasileira - 2024
The story begins in 1922, when Tarsila returns to São Paulo after her experience at the School of Arts in Paris. The encounter with the modernists, including figures like Anita Malfatti, Oswald de Andrade, and Mário de Andrade, triggers a saga that spans the artistic effervescence between São Paulo and Paris. The audience was taken into a world of exuberance, passing through Tarsila's bustling atelier frequented by great names of the time, such as Pablo Picasso and Jean Cocteau, leading up to the creation of the iconic Abaporu. The second part of the story unfolds during the 1929 Crisis, revealing Tarsila's personal challenges, her phase of “social” paintings depicting Brazilian workers, and her involvement with the journalist from Rio de Janeiro, Luís Martins.
João Carlos Martins - Music History - 2024
In the context of court music, the preferred dance in the salons was the minuet, with small steps, great lightness, and graceful evolutions. The Bachiana performs one of the most well-known minuets, by the Italian composer Rodolfo Luigi Boccherini (1743-1805). In telling the history of music, the Viennese waltz could not be left out, the queen of ballroom dances, and its main composer, Johann Strauss II, known as “The Waltz King” and largely responsible for the waltz's popularity in Vienna during the 19th century, here represented by the waltz “Artist's Life.” Also included is The Nutcracker, one of the most famous compositions by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
Chiquinha Plays Chico - 2024
The 80th birthday of Chico Buarque, one of the greatest composers of Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), arrived with the presentation of the show 'Chiquinha Plays Chico,' featuring singer Mônica Salmaso and conducted by Priscila Bomfim. On stage, 46 girls from the Chiquinha Gonzaga Youth Symphony Orchestra performed some of the artist's greatest classics, such as 'Construção,' 'O Meu Guri,' 'Roda Viva,' 'O Que Será Que Será,' 'Anos Dourados,' among others.
Sagração - Deborah Colker Company - 2024
In June 2024, the Deborah Colker Dance Company performed for the first time at Teatro Santander to celebrate its thirtieth anniversary and present the premiere of the show “Sagração.” In the version directed by Deborah Colker, Stravinsky's classical music meets Brazilian rhythms in a script inspired by ancestral visions of the origin of the world. The show is a free adaptation of “The Rite of Spring,” composed by Russian Igor Stravinsky, which gained worldwide recognition with its premiere in Paris in 1913, choreographed by Vaslav Nijinsky and produced by Sergei Diaghilev for the Ballets Russes. The musical composition is considered revolutionary for introducing rhythmic and harmonic structures never before used in cores.
CAPIBA, pelas ruas eu vou - 2024
The show is a true celebration of one of Brazil's most important genres, frevo... the musical CAPIBA, pelas ruas eu vou. The musical presents the journey of a boy born in Surubim, in the Agreste region of Pernambuco, on October 28, 1904. Son of a bandmaster, Capiba could read sheet music even before he learned to read. He lived in Paraíba and at the age of 26 moved to Recife, where he worked as an employee at Banco do Brasil and attended the Recife Law School, all while never abandoning music.
Shakespeare in Love - 2024
William Shakespeare (portrayed by Rodrigo Simas), after experiencing a creative block, finds his muse in the aristocrat Viola de Lesseps (portrayed in this production by Carla Salle). Lady Viola, being engaged and unable to pursue a career as an actress (at the time, women were not allowed to act), dresses in male attire to participate in rehearsals alongside Shakespeare. The trio is completed by the renowned actress Ana Lúcia Torre, who played Queen Elizabeth I.
The arena format of 033 Rooftop allowed for an intimate experience with the actors, who used the entire space as their stage, complemented by an exclusive menu inspired by English cuisine. The production in Brazil is licensed by Disney Theatrical Group.

The orchestra performs, in sequence, three of the most popular pieces from the suite “The Nutcracker”, composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) for ballet: The Sugar Plum Fairy, the composer's biggest hit, and The Waltz of the Flowers. And, since Christmas is above all a celebration of togetherness, you can - and should - sing along with the orchestra to timeless Christmas classics like “White Christmas” and “Jingle Bells”, among others. Naturally, “Silent Night” could not be left out, the melody most closely associated with the holiday since Christmas of 1816 at St. Nicholas Church in the small Austrian village of Oberndorf: Father Joseph Mohr found in Franz Gruber (1787-1863) the perfect collaborator.

Teatro Santander once again hosted the 41st season of the classic ballet “The Nutcracker”, a production by the traditional Cisne Negro Dance Company. This performance, which has become synonymous with Christmas in São Paulo, has been presented continuously since its debut, offering audiences the chance to experience the magic of the holiday season through dance and the beautiful music of Tchaikovsky. The ballet has been seen by an estimated audience of over 500,000 people. This season introduced new features – spectators will be surprised by new sets, designed to enhance the immersion and enchantment that the narrative provides.
